The LSU men’s basketball team will again be doing its part to try to help the state of Louisiana recover in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

On Tuesday, Tigers head coach Will Wade announced to the media that the Tigers will be taking on Nicholls State in a road exhibition game on Oct. 23, with all proceeds and donations going to relief efforts in the Thibodaux-Houma area, which is where Nicholls State’s Stopher Gymnasium is located.

Since Hurricane Ida made landfall in late August, LSU’s men’s hoops program has already helped bring foods and supplies to areas around Louisiana. The exhibition at Nicholls State, which will tip off at 2 p.m. ET, will be another opportunity for the team to help out.

Ticket information for the matchup has not yet been announced by LSU.

The Tigers will play this exhibition contest shortly before the regular season begins, as their first game is set for Nov. 9 at home against UL Monroe.
