LSU offering significant pay increase to lure Notre Dame OC, per report

It’s a good time to be Tommy Rees. The Notre Dame offensive coordinator looks to be getting a significant bump in pay with Brian Kelly on the move to LSU.
Notre Dame beat writer Pete Sampson reports that LSU is offering Rees a $400,000 increase in pay to leave South Bend for Baton Rouge. Sampson adds that Rees, a former Irish quarterback, prefers to remain with Notre Dame.
It looks like a win-win for Rees as he’ll presumably get a big raise whether he stays at Notre Dame or follows Kelly to LSU. It will be interesting to see how Notre Dame addresses the lucrative offer from LSU.
Even if Rees doesn’t follow Kelly, it sure looks like LSU is willing to shell out the big bucks for the next offensive coordinator.

LSU’s proposed offer to Rees is 400k above Notre Dame. Rees’ desire is to stay in South Bend at this time.
