LSU players aren’t fans of COVID-19 face shields in helmets: ‘It’s like breathing in a Ziploc bag’

LSU players have been trying out COVID-19 face shields for their helmets in recent days, and the results haven’t been good.
On Sunday morning, a TikTok video surfaced of 2 LSU players complaining about the face shields and how difficult they are to breathe in.
As you can see in the video below (Warning: NSFW language), LB Soni Fonua has some colorful language to describe the breathability and OL Austin Deculus said it’s like breathing in a Ziploc bag:

The shields are in place to limit the amount of droplets that transfer between players, as that’s a major way the COVID-19 virus spreads.
However, if players can’t breathe, that’s obviously a big problem, too. We’ll see if the face shields are modified a bit moving forward.
