LSU’s quarterback competition is apparently reaching its conclusion, and the shuffling in the Tigers’ QB room is ramping up.
Jayden Daniels reportedly took most of the first-team reps during a recent scrimmage, with Garrett Nussmeier sidelined by injury. Meanwhile, Myles Brennan worked mostly with the second-string players.
Now, it appears Brennan has been told he won’t be the starter this fall. And, per LSU reporter Kristian Garic, Brennan has decided to walk away from the game of football:
BREAKING: LSU QB Myles Brennan is walking away from football, a source has told me. Brennan was informed that he will not be the starting Quarterback this fall.

Brennan was a 4-star player in the 2017 recruiting class. He has spent his whole career at LSU. He threw for 1,712 yards, 13 touchdowns and 6 interceptions during that time, but he hasn’t played since being hurt early in the 2020 season.
What’s next for Brennan remains to be seen, but it appears his time playing football at LSU is drawing to an end.
