LSU has 2 new members of the No. 18 jersey fraternity, revealing the recipients of the special honor Thursday evening.

On the offensive side of the ball, running back Josh Williams will don the No. 18 this year. A 6th-year senior who returned for one more season, Williams is the only remaining member of LSU’s storied 2019 national championship team.

Defensively, senior linebacker Greg Penn III will wear the No. 18. He was the recipient of the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl “Make it Possible” Award for his leadership on and off the field.

Williams began his LSU career as a walk-on but has worked his way into becoming a reliable performer for the Tigers. He has over 1,000 yards in his career with 11 touchdowns as a rotational player throughout his career.

Penn has grown into a leader for the LSU defense after finishing 2nd on the team with 89 tackles a season ago to go with 6.5 TFL and 4 sacks. He has 37 career appearances while starting 27 of the last 28 games for LSU with 178 career tackles, 12.5 TFL and 4 sacks.

Both players provide a veteran presence for the program and will be good representations of everything the No. 18 embodies within the LSU program.
