LSU can add cornerback to its list of needs for 2023.
According to The Athletic, freshman Jaelyn Davis-Robinson has entered the transfer portal. He will have 4 years of eligibility after playing a handful of snaps in several games this past fall.
A native of Texas, Davis-Robinson was the first player to commit under new coach Brian Kelly following his hire last offseason. The Tigers have now lost 13 total players in the portal, 10 of which were on the active roster during the 2022 season.
The departure of Davis-Robinson is now a massive hit to the Tigers’ cornerback room entering 2023. LSU has already multiple pieces to the transfer portal. Other players, including Mekhi Garner, Jarrick Bernard-Converse and Colby Richardson have declared for the draft or will be out of eligibility.
#LSU corner Jaelyn Davis-Robinson has entered the portal, The Athletic has learned. Was a three-star freshman who didn't see the field this fall.

The Tigers might be trending up in the secondary after 4-star cornerback Javien Toviano announced his commitment Thursday. LSU has also added Daylen Austin, Jeremiah Hughes and Ashton Stamps as members of the 2023 recruiting class.
According to 247Sports, LSU currently has the No. 3 recruiting class entering the final days before Early Signing Period on Dec. 21.
