LSU head coach Brian Kelly stunned many by leading the Tigers to a 1st-place finish in the SEC West and a spot in the SEC Championship Game this season.
On Tuesday, he lost 1 of the wide receivers who could’ve made sure LSU was right back in Atlanta next December, as Jack Bech announced that he will enter the transfer portal.

The in-state product from Lafayette, Louisiana, played in 25 games as a Tiger and had a banner freshman season in 2021.
“This has been the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, and a lot of thought and prayer has gone into my decision,” Bech said in his farewell tweet. “With that being said, I’m entering my name into the transfer portal.”
Bech had just 14 catches for 157 yards and a touchdown during the regular season. But he’s battled injuries throughout the offseason into the regular season that have limited his opportunities, so his numbers are down significantly from the year before.
During that electrifying 2021 season in Baton Rouge, alongside star wideout Kayshon Boutte, Bech led the Tigers in receptions with 43 and ranked 3rd on the team in receiving yards with 489. Bech also caught 3 touchdown passes as a true freshman.
