LSU WR coach and passing game coordinator Cortez Hankton’s contract details revealed, per report

Cortez Hankton won a national championship at Georgia in 2021, and he’ll now look to do the same with Brian Kelly at LSU. The former Bulldogs passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach was hired to the same position by Kelly, with LSU announcing the hire on Monday.
We now know some of Hankton’s contract details and how much he will make down in Baton Rouge. According to a tweet from The Advocate’s Wilson Alexander, Hankton is set to make an average of $900,000 annually on a 3-year contract:
New LSU wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton will make an average of $900,000 per year, according to his term sheet. He has a three-year deal.

That’s a substantial pay raise from what Hankton was making in Athens. According to reports, he made $550,000 at Georgia in 2021. It’s clear that LSU feels that the New Orleans native can help guide the Tigers program to the same success he saw at his previous stop.
Hankton spent 4 seasons with the Bulldogs, being hired from Vanderbilt where he was wide receivers coach for 3 seasons.
