Luther Burden III of the Missouri Tigers is widely considered to be one of the top wide receivers in the 2025 NFL Draft class.

He’s one of a handful of Tigers who will head to Indianapolis next week for the NFL Scouting Combine. It remains to be seen exactly which workouts and drills he’ll do, but NFL.com’s Bucky Brooks thinks Burden has a lot to gain.

Brooks put together a list of 10 draft prospects who could see their stock rise with strong showings in Indianapolis. Here’s what he had to say about Burden:

Lost in the NFL’s obsession with prototypical WR1s has been the importance of catch-and-run playmakers. Luther Burden III is a dynamic pass-catcher with an electric game who can flourish out wide and in the slot. As an option-route specialist with exceptional short-area quickness and wiggle, the Missouri standout is an old-school wingback ideally suited for a multi-faceted scheme built to showcase explosive playmakers. With a chance to dazzle evaluators on the big stage in Indianapolis, Burden could create buzz in league circles with an impressive performance in workouts and interviews.

In Brooks’ first 2025 mock draft, he projected Burden to go to the Pittsburgh Steelers with the No. 21 overall pick.

We’ll see where the ex-Mizzou star ends up when Round 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
