Mack Brown explains why he wouldn’t mind receiving a mayo bath in the bowl game
The Duke’s Mayo Bowl pits South Carolina against North Carolina. Both teams have struggled somewhat at the end of the season. Both teams ended up with 6-6 records although much more was expected out of the Tar Heels than Gamecocks.
UNC was expected to contend for the ACC Championship but no one thought the Gamecocks would even make a bowl this season, but surprisingly under new head coach Shane Beamer, the team did better than anyone expected.
On the line for this game is not only pride but possibly a mayo bath. When asked if he would take a plunge in a mayo bath, North Carolina head coach Mack Brown said this:
“It’s for a great cause… 10K dollars to a charity is worth it. I’m so pleased that Duke’s Mayo would donate 10K to a charity that really needs it.”
Brown also says he might be willing to get hit with a frying pan as well if they won.
