Madden Iamaleava, younger brother to Nico, reportedly makes transfer decision
Madden Iamaleava has committed to UCLA, according to multiple reports.
Iamaleava informed Arkansas staff of his plans to enter the transfer portal on Monday evening. Shortly thereafter, it became clear that the true freshman will follow his older brother Nico Iamaleava to Westwood.
On3’s Hayes Fawcett first shared that news on Monday night:
Nico Iamaleava officially committed to the Bruins over the weekend. He’ll now be in position to share a locker room with his younger brother for at least 1 season.
For Madden Iamaleava, this is a reunion of sorts with the UCLA coaching staff. He was committed to the Bruins all the way up until the Early Signing Period back in December when he flipped to Arkansas. After going through spring practice with the Razorbacks, Madden has opted to return to UCLA.
Madden Iamaleava was Arkansas’ highest-rated offensive recruit in the class of 2025. He was the No. 271 overall player and the No. 22 quarterback for that class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He would have been UCLA’s highest-ranked commit in the 2025 class had he originally signed with the Bruins.
The Iamaleava family is from Long Beach, California, so the move to UCLA also puts the brothers much closer to home for the 2025 season.
