Texas A&M signaled there will at least be a cosmetic change by parting ways with offensive coordinator Jake Spavital. The team has been hemorrhaging quarterbacks and faced a disappointing end to its 2015 season. Things had to change for the Aggies.

And it appears they will.

Appearing on the Paul Finebaum Show on Monday, Billy Liucci of TexAgs.com said Texas A&M will move quickly to find a new offensive coordinator and then both he and Sumlin will likely remake Texas A&M’s offensive staff from there.

Liucci said he feels there will be a “pretty good housecleaning” on the offensive side of the ball and wants him in place before the coaches convention next week.

Liucci speculates Noel Mazzone of UCLA is the name who keeps coming up when he asks about who could fit in as offensive coordinator. He is currently the offensive coordinator at UCLA.
