Major Tennison is a 6-foot-6 tight end recruit in the class of 2017 and earlier today, he sent out a tweet regarding his decommitment from the University of Texas.

Tennison is the No. 11-ranked tight end in his class according to 247 Sports and is rated as a three-star prospect. Maybe he isn’t a five-star, can’t miss pass-catcher, but the SEC didn’t shy away from him during his recruit period.
Tennison, from Bullard, Texas, has offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida and Georgia. Tennessee and Texas A&M are also listed as schools that are interested.
According to 247 Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions, Tennison has a 100 percent chance of signing with the Crimson Tide. Predictions are of course wrong here and there, but if the defending national champions are able to land a tall, pass-catching tight end, life at the position after O.J. Howard wouldn’t look too bleak.
