Malachi Moore exited the field after sustaining what appeared to be an upper-body injury against Wisconsin Saturday.
Moore, Alabama’s talented senior defensive back, jogged off the field after taking a rough hit. He headed straight for the injury tent and was in there for a few minutes before leaving. He later walked off the field with trainers.
The early concern for Moore is a concussion, but there have been no reports out of Alabama regarding injury details.

Alabama reporter Stephen M. Smith confirmed that Moore will miss the remainder of the game soon after:
Three Alabama players out for the rest of the game:
-RB Richard Young (lower body injury)
-DB Malachi Moore
-Wolf Qua Russaw— Stephen M. Smith (@CoachingMSmith) September 14, 2024
Moore is one of Alabama’s better defenders and would be a massive loss for this Tide secondary. He already forced a fumble earlier in the game with a hit on Wisconsin RB Chez Mellusi. He had 7 tackles and the aforementioned forced fumble before exiting in the 3rd quarter.
Alabama has this one well in hand after concerns were raised by their play last week against USF. The Tide have dominated on defense with Wisconsin QB Tyler Van Dyke knocked out of the game and lead 35-10 halfway through the 3rd quarter.
If Alabama can finish this one they’ll enter Week 4 against Georgia undefeated in what will be Alabama’s biggest test of the season. Word on Moore is sure to be out by the end of Saturday evening.
