Malik Zaire tweets his displeasure after Florida’s loss to LSU

Former Notre Dame QB Malik Zaire came over to Florida with much fanfare this offseason as a graduate transfer.
However, he lost the Week 1 starting job to Feleipe Franks, though he did get some playing time in that game.
Since then, he’s watched as the Gators have turned to Franks and Luke Del Rio while he’s become the forgotten man.
After a disappointing 17-16 loss to LSU on Saturday afternoon, Zaire took to Twitter to express his displeasure:
Smh! What. A. Shame. #OnlyLordKnows

Why Florida coach Jim McElwain isn’t giving Zaire some playing time is baffling, especially when the offense is struggling under Franks.
Zaire is a dual-threat quarterback, and could probably run a read-option offense for a series or two every game.
With the way the Gators have struggled on the offensive side of the ball, the Gators should be trying everything, but Zaire has remained firmly planted on the bench in recent weeks.
