Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn updated the media after his team’s win on the status of senior safety Jermaine Whitehead who did not make the trip to Manhattan and did not play in the Tigers win over Kansas State Thursday night.

According to AL.com’s Brandon Marcello, when asked, Malzahn said Whitehead will remain suspended.

AuburnUndercover.com reported yesterday that sources with knowledge of the situation said Whitehead got into a verbal confrontation with an Auburn assistant coach and was subsequently suspended.
