Marcus Satterfield, former South Carolina OC, shredded as Nebraska struggles
By Andrew Olson

Marcus Satterfield’s Nebraska offense is having issues familiar to fans who watched the South Carolina Gamecocks the past 2 seasons.
Nebraska is down 23-7 through 3 quarters at Colorado. Aside from a 57-yard touchdown run by Jeff Sims, the Huskers have been unable to get anything going. Nebraska’s offensive issues have led to some strong criticism of Satterfield on social media.
South Carolina fans and observers are not the least bit surprised to see Satterfield’s unit struggling. Here’s a small sample of what’s being said on social media:

A Marcus Satterfield coordinated offense scored zero points in the first half? Wow, that’s crazy. Hadn’t happened since last week’s game.

The combination of OC Marcus Satterfield and QB Jeff Sims ain’t it. Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule will fix it, but the Cornhuskers aren’t going to do much offensively this year. @TomLuginbill and I tried to tell you.

Marcus Satterfield has scored one touchdown — on a gadget play — through 6 quarters at Nebraska.
Somewhere, South Carolina fans are laughing.

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule had Satterfield on his Baylor staff in 2018 and ’19 as a tight ends coach. Satterfield followed Rhule to the Carolina Panthers in 2020. In 2021, Shane Beamer hired Satterfield as his offensive coordinator.
