Mark Richt confirms Georgia linebacker out for the season

Georgia linebacker Reggie Carter had shoulder surgery last week and will miss the rest of the season, coach Mark Richt said on Sunday according to Dawgs247.com.

Carter played in 12 games last season and managed 28 total tackles. He played in this year’s game at Vanderbilt and made two stops. Carter was a reserve linebacker who challenged for a starting spot throughout fall practice.

The junior from Snellville, Georgia will be eligible for a medical redshirt.
