If you haven’t heard by now, Kentucky running back Benny Snell Jr. was ejected from Friday’s Music City Bowl after a ludicrous call.

Snell “shoved” one of the officials’ hands away in the first half of the game against Northwestern.

Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops commented on the ejection at halftime.

“The official told me Benny grabbed his arms,” Stoops said. “I was told that wasn’t the case. I can’t worry about that. If we grab an official, we should be ejected. If we didn’t, then we shouldn’t.”

Pretty simple answer there from Stoops.

Obviously Kentucky players should play by the rules — that’s why they are in place — but sometimes absurd mistakes are made too.

This was one of those cases.
