Former Alabama CB Marlon Humphrey did not take long to sign his contract with the Baltimore Ravens.
Humphrey’s signing on Friday is the earliest for a Ravens first-round pick in the franchise’s history, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. Baltimore selected the former Crimson Tide defender with the No. 16 overall pick in last week’s NFL Draft.
Humphrey was the first Alabama player off the board, and the first of seven to go in the first 55 picks.
Exact terms for Humphrey’s deal were not released, but all first-round picks are signed for four years with the team with a team option for a fifth season. The exact salary is determined by the salary cap and the rookie compensation pool. Humphrey’s deal is estimated to be worth $11,898,614 per Spotrac.
Humphrey also took part in the first day of the rookie camp, sporting jersey No. 29.
The rookies took the field for their first NFL practice today.
