According to coachingsearch.com, Maryland has hired Mississippi State head strength and conditioning coach Rick Court.
Court and Terps head coach DJ Durkin worked together in Bowling Green Urban Meyer in the early 2000s.
Maryland also poached Tide assistant director of player personnel Aazaar Abdul-Rahim. According to maryland.247sports.com, Abdul-Rahim will serve as the defensive coordinator for the Terps.
The hire was vocally supported by Maryland DT Adam McLean, who was one of the many players who campaigned for Abdul-Rahim to join the staff before Durkin was even officially hired.
