The Masters suspended play during the 2nd round due to inclement weather on Friday afternoon.

Amongst the weather concerns: high wind. Late in the afternoon on Friday, a tree fell near a crowd of patrons at the 17th tee.

It was a terrifying situation, but no one was injured in the accident according to ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt. The Masters suspended play at 4:22 p.m. ET.

Here’s video of the tree falling:

With no injuries being reported, play is expected to resume as usual when the weather clears up.

Brooks Koepka is in the clubhouse as the leader so far at -12. However, Jon Rahm had been making a push before play was suspended and is tied for 2nd place at -9.

The story of the tournament so far may be Texas A&M’s Sam Bennett, who is currently tied with Rahm for 2nd place. Bennett was -4 on Friday —  the lowest round by an amateur at Augusta National in over 2 decades.
