The College Football Playoff picture is becoming more clear by the week as the regular season nears its close.

Georgia is favored to be the top seed with a handful of other teams making the push to be among those behind the Bulldogs. College football analyst Matt Barrie recently weighed in on the teams that are in the mix and where they stand.

“Tennessee can now hang out there in the College Football Playoff discussion,” Barrie said. “Ohio State and Michigan are going to play each other. Ultimately, I don’t believe the loser of that game is going to have enough of a resume to be in the College Football Playoff discussion.”

Barrie also noted the path for a potential 1-loss TCU team that has been one of the better stories of the season.

It will be interesting to see how things play out with all of the aforementioned teams in an odd year in which Alabama not in the picture.
