Georgia is being talked about as potentially the next dynasty team in college football as the Bulldogs stand the best chance at becoming the No. 1 seed in the College Football playoff with a real possibility of repeating as national champions.

Head coach Kirby Smart has been a big part of the team’s success, as was noted by college football analysts Matt Barrie and Paul Finebaum.

“South Carolina was hiring Kirby Smart,” Barrie said. “He was going to get the job. And then Georgia panicked because one of their own was going to be in Columbia, got rid of Mark Richt, a guy who had been wildly successful there except for getting them over the hump and Paul, the rest is history now as what appears to be a dynamic run in Athens.”

Both analysts had high praise for Smart and his accomplishments with a Georgia team that has been nothing short of impressive:

Georgia is set to face Kentucky up next on the schedule at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
