Max Johnson is off to a perfect start, and the Texas A&M Aggies are rolling in the second half against Auburn.
Johnson is 5-for-5 passing for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Aggies to a 20-3 lead over the Tigers.
Conner Weigman left the game for the Aggies late in the first half after he suffered an apparent left ankle injury. Johnson replaced him, and on his first drive, got the Aggies on the board with a 22-yard touchdown pass to give the Aggies a 13-3 lead over Auburn in the 3rd quarter.
What made the touchdown even more special was the player who caught it, his brother Jake Johnson.

It was Johnson’s first drive of the game, and he was efficient and precise. He went 3-of-3 for 44 yards.
The touchdown catch by Jake Johnson was the first touchdown of his collegiate career. He entered the game with 9 catches on the season, after finishing last year with only one catch.
This is Max Johnson’s second season at Texas A&M, as he started his career at LSU in 2020. During the 2021 season, Johnson threw for 2,815 yards and 27 touchdowns.
That is his third passing touchdown of the 2023 season, which ties for as many as he had all of last season.
That touchdown was the 41st of his career, and he has thrown only six interceptions during his college career.
He later found Evan Stewart for another touchdown on an incredible deep-ball pass that went for a 37-yard touchdown.
