Mecole Hardman will have a new home for the 2025 campaign.
The former Georgia wideout signed a free agent deal with the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday night, according to a report. That’s per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, who notes that Hardman is joining the Packers on a 1-year deal.
Hardman is a former Georgia second-round pick. He’s spent most of the first 6 years of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs, but he also played in 5 games for the Jets back in 2023.
Hardman did not have a major role in Kansas City this past season. He caught 12 passes for 90 yards all season and played in just 12 games. He has not recorded a receiving touchdown since 2022 and has not eclipsed 500 yards in a single campaign since 2021.
However, Hardman does offer an intriguing element of speed. He was Kansas City’s primary returner last season. He returned 20 punts for 203 yards and 5 kickoffs for 132 yards. He has 2 special teams touchdowns in his career, but none since 2020.
He’ll hope to get his career back on track in Green Bay while playing with Jordan Love and the Packers. Hardman has 2,302 receiving yards and 16 receiving touchdowns in his career so far.
