Topping fellow rookie gunslinger Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers, 29-21, on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium, Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins moved to 6-3 on the season and 3-0 since the former Alabama standout assumed the starting role.
While his yardage total was down slightly from their November 8 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale, Tagovailoa completed 15-of-25 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns.
In total, the left-hander has now connected on 49-of-77 passes (63.6 percent) for 519 yards and five scores, all without tossing an interception.
One of the AFC’s most pleasant surprises and a serious figure in the playoff race, many media members and outlets continued to sing their praises of Tagovailoa.
When I watch Tua Tagovailoa play football, I feel like I’m watching a point guard #FinsUp

Dolphins win 29-21 over the Chargers, on a 5-game win streak. They are 6-3 including 3-0 with Tua Tagovailoa as the starter. This is their best start since 2001.
Playoffs anyone?!?

Tua Tagovailoa had a TD, 0 INTs, and a W in each of his first three starts.
He joins Carson Wentz as the second QB since 1950 to do that in each of his first three NFL starts #FinsUp pic.twitter.com/oONYO8AZdC

The Dolphins improve to 6-3 on the season with the 29-21 win over the Chargers. That’s 5 straight wins.
Tua Tagovailoa- 15/25, 169 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Salvon Ahmed with 85 yards rushing and a TD.
The defense and special teams with more big plays. This team is good.

Looking to keep this success rolling, the Dolphins will hit the road next to battle the Denver Broncos – who are also quarterbacked by a Southeastern Conference product, Missouri Tiger Drew Lock – on November 22 at 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS.
