While Tropical Storm Ian is expected to make landfall as a hurricane in the state of Florida next week, it’s a bit early to be saying a hurricane is affecting the weather on the state’s east coast.
T. S. #Ian is expected to rapidly strengthen later this weekend. It is expected to approach the west coast of the Florida Peninsula early next week, where there is increasing confidence in multiple life-threatening hazards: storm surge, hurricane-force
winds and flooding. pic.twitter.com/Dm7KUpPuP3— National Weather Service (@NWS) September 24, 2022
