Miami is preparing to face Iowa State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. The Hurricanes had an impressive regular season, ending with a 10-2 record and narrowly missing out on the College Football Playoff.
This will be the 7th appearance in this game (which has changed names and sponsors over the years) for the Hurricanes and the 3rd for the Cyclones. Ahead of the game, the Hurricanes revealed which uniforms the team will be sporting in this contest.
The Canes are going with the white helmets, orange jerseys, and orange pants combination. This combo has been worn twice in 2024, in a home game against Florida A&M and on the road against Georgia Tech. Notably, this is the combination that was worn when the Canes suffered their first loss of the season.
The first time these were worn, though, the Canes got much better results, beating FAMU 56-9. This will be the 5th time wearing orange jerseys in 2024 and the 4th time wearing orange pants. The team has worn white helmets in all but 1 game when they wore all-black uniforms against Florida State.
The 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl will be the first-ever meeting between Iowa State and Miami. The Canes finished with a 10-2 record in the regular season while the Cyclones finished 10-3. The Cyclones also narrowly missed the Playoff after losing to Arizona State in the Big 12 Championship Game.
In the 2023 Pop-Tarts Bowl, Kansas State defeated NC State 28-19. Iowa State and Miami will kick off from Camping World Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
