As if attacking an unsuspecting man from behind wasn’t bad enough, 52-year-old Michael Davenport hasn’t had any arms to defend himself since the age of 13. That didn’t stop someone from assaulting him in broad daylight recently in downtown Athens.
The unfortunate scene was captured on video and obtained by FOX 5 of Atlanta. The disturbing video can be found below.
Following the incident, Davenport was taken to the emergency room.
“I woke up in the emergency room… I just broke down. Why? I want to know why the guy did something like that,” Davenport said according to FOX 5 of Atlanta.
Athens-Clarke County Police have arrested and charged 29-year-old Darian Kenney with aggravated assault following an investigation into the incident. Police have yet to discover any motivation for the assault on the unsuspecting artist.
MAN WITH NO ARMS ATTACKED:
Artist Michael Davenport has been a local celebrity in Athens, GA for years, painting @FootballUGA Bulldogs using only his mouth. Athens Police say the man on video struck him in the head as he was painting.
