Mike Elko curses out OC during final drive of Texas A&M’s loss to Notre Dame

Mike Elko didn’t have the Texas A&M debut he wanted on Saturday night at home against No. 7 Notre Dame. The No. 20 Aggies played well defensively, but the offense couldn’t get anything going in what ended up as a 23-13 loss.
In the game’s final moments, the Aggies had the ball. However, the offense, like it had all night, was failing to move the ball effectively.
After yet another incomplete pass, Elko had seen enough. As you can see below, he was caught on camera chewing out his offensive staff and telling them to “run the f—ing ball”:

When QB Conner Weigman finished the game 12-for-30 for 100 yards, 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, it’s understandable that Elko had seen quite enough of the passing game.
The Aggies have a lot of work to do on both sides of the ball, but Notre Dame looked like a legitimate Playoff contender on Saturday night. It’s tough to take too much away from Elko’s Aggie debut. Still, this team has a long way to go to justify being ranked in the top 25.
The Aggies host McNeese next week before a Week 3 trip to Florida to play in The Swamp. We’ll see if the offense can find a groove before Texas A&M gets into the heart of SEC action.
