Mike Elko sent a clear message to recruits after Texas A&M’s comeback win over LSU.

The Aggies out-scored LSU 31-6 over the final 25 minutes of the game on Saturday night to earn a 38-23 victory over LSU. The victory keeps Texas A&M in first place in the SEC and puts the Aggies into prime position for a run at the SEC Championship Game.

“This is a real program,” Elko said. “It’s not fake. It’s not a politician running this program, talking fast and BSing everybody. This is a real program. And for all the recruits out there, this is a real place. And if you want to be really good at football, this is a really good place to be.”

Here’s video of his comments:

By any measure, this season has been a huge success for Elko and company. Texas A&M will enter November as the only SEC team that’s undefeated in SEC play. The Aggies have won 7 consecutive games since their season-opening loss to Notre Dame.

Elko’s team appears to be in good position to make a run at the College Football Playoff for the first time in Texas A&M football history.

Texas A&M is recruiting very well in the class of 2025. The Aggies have 22 commits so far in this cycle and a class that ranks No. 7 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
