Mike Golic and Mike Golic Jr. are returning to television.
The elder Golic co-hosted “Mike and Mike” with Mike Greenberg on ESPN Radio for over a decade and a half until the show ended in 2017. Trey Wingo later became co-host of the new “Golic and Wingo” until that show ended in 2020. Golic Jr. was a guest co-host and regular contributor to the latter program until he moved to his own program with Chiney Ogwumike; he left ESPN in 2022.
Now, father and son have been reunited, hosting “GoJo and Golic” on the DraftKings Network beginning Monday.
“Me and Dad talked about this for a while. What if we gave this a real shot again? It seemed like people enjoyed it before,” Golic Jr. told The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch. “It did not end on our terms with our show last time around, so we sort of get a chance to go out here and write the ending however we see fit.”
“They (DraftKings) said, ‘Well, if you want to do this, we think the natural thing is to put you and your son back together,” the elder Golic said. “As long as I did a show at ESPN, from Tony Bruno to Greeny (Mike Greenberg) to Wingo, the most fun I had was doing it with one of my kids. So this was a no-brainer.”
Along with the DraftKings Network website, the show will stream on Samsung TV Plus connected TVs. It will also be available in podcast form.
