Mike Leach responds to question about Kylin Hill still being listed on Mississippi State’s roster

Rumors have swirled about star Mississippi State RB Kylin Hill, who it has been reported has opted out of the rest of the season.
However, as of Monday afternoon, Hill was still listed on Mississippi State’s online roster, so there continue to be questions about his status.
During his Monday press conference, Leach said he has heard Hill was opting out, but hasn’t spoken to Hill recently:
“I haven’t heard anything from him,” Leach said. “The last I heard is what I told you last time. I heard he was opting out. I haven’t heard anything further and I haven’t spoken with him.”
In limited action this season, Hill put up 295 yards from scrimmage, mostly as a receiver, and scored 1 touchdown.
We’ll see if an official announcement is made in the coming days.
