Things are getting worse at Florida State before they get better.
The Seminoles are a staggering 32.5-point underdog to Clemson this weekend. This comes on the heels of FSU losing to North Carolina State 38-22 on Saturday.
According to OddShar’s college football betting database, Florida State was a 26-point underdog to Florida in 2009. The Seminoles have only been 20+ point underdogs three times since 1997. FSU is 0-3 straight up and 1-2 against the spread in those contests.
This has been a frustrating first season for coach Mike Norvell. Florida State is 2-6, with its only conference win coming against North Carolina.
The Seminoles have suffered blowout losses to Miami, Notre Dame, Louisville, Pittsburgh and North Carolina State.
Clemson and Florida State will kick off at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
Clemson opens as 32.5-point favorite vs. FSU. No team has been a bigger favorite over the Seminoles in decades.
FSU was a 25.5-point 'dog last year vs. Clemson; Same in 2009 vs. UF. The furthest back I can find old spreads in 1985, and these three are the largest in those years.
