A recent CT scan and physical exam has revealed that the tumor in LSU live mascot Mike the Tiger’s head has unfortunately resumed growth and the cancer has spread.

Here is the official release:

Mike VI was diagnosed with a spindle cell sarcoma this past spring and was given 1-2 years to live with careful treatment. He has served as the LSU mascot since 2007.

LSU is set to hold a press conference at 10:30 a.m. at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine Wednesday morning.
