With the Tennessee Titans preseason opener only 4 days away at the Chicago Bears, head coach Mike Vrabel spoke with the media about the development of rookie quarterback, Will Levis.

Levis, the No. 33 pick in the 2023 NFL draft, is in an extremely competitive battle for the No. 2 spot behind Ryan Tannehill.

“I’ve seen him make some really good throws,” Vrabel said. “I’ve seen command of the huddle.”

Vrabel has seen Levis get other players in position, and make different kinds of throws, including using his “arm talent” when he needs to.

Levis’ competition is Malik Willis, who was drafted last year in the 3rd round, and started 3 games. However, Willis struggled in those games, and threw for only 234 yards and 3 interceptions, finishing with a QBR of 39.0.

Because of those struggles last season, the Titans brought in Levis to give more competition at the quarterback spot and potentially be the team’s quarterback of the future.

One thing Levis has done early is develop relationships with the young receivers, especially with Reggie Roberson.
