Miley Cyrus gets crushed for her concert during the Final Four
By Keith Farner
Published:
Miley Cyrus was the musical act in between the Final Four games on Saturday night from Indianapolis. But it didn’t go over well as the pop star performed a series of covers, including hits from the likes of Queen, Blondie, Stevie Nicks and Grand Funk Railroad.
Leading up to Final Four Saturday night, the NCAA promoted the act as, “Multi-platinum selling recording artist Miley Cyrus will perform a Tribute to Frontline Heroes during the Capital One Tournament Central show airing on CBS in between the first and second National Semifinal games with frontline heroes in attendance.”
After Baylor knocked off Houston in easy fashion, 78-59, many fans looked for something else to entertain them ahead of the UCLA-Gonzaga game.
Here’s a sampling of some of the reaction:
@CBSSports the Miley Cyrus performance was atrocious. Concert totally unneeded at all.

I do NOT understand why executives think they need to have boring ass musical acts to signify a major sporting event. Miley Cyrus doing cover songs???
The Super Bowl makes the halftime show significant, not the other way around, dipshits.#marchmadness #finalfour

I gotta say, watching those white people dance to Miley Cyrus in their social distanced neon squares might be the worst thing I’ve seen all weekend.

What in the world is happening right now and why is Miley Cyrus signing Queen songs in between Final Four games?
I blame the NCAA for this. Just like everything else. pic.twitter.com/7cVLURCeF9

I’m pretty sure if we used this Miley Cyrus performance against combatants it would be considered a war crime under the Geneva Convention. #FinalFour pic.twitter.com/Eox8Tn0kvK
