Mississippi State University announced the enrollment of three freshmen football players on Tuesday. Wide receivers Reginald Todd and Osirus Mitchell began classes Tuesday, while defensive back Cameron Dantlzer is expected to enroll on Wednesday.
All three players were three-star prospects, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Todd and Mitchell committed and signed with the Bulldogs in June, while Dantzler signed in February.
Dantzler played both quarterback and defensive back at St. Thomas Aquinas in Louisiana, but he is listed as a defensive back on MSU’s roster. Todd and Mitchell are both 6-foot-5, which makes them the tallest receivers on the Bulldogs’ active roster.
Mississippi State now has 12 freshmen enrolled in classes, which also includes five-star prospect Jeffery Simmons, who will serve a one-game suspension and undergo professional counseling after a video showing him striking a woman on the ground went viral in March.
