In the wake of uniform gate Thursday night in Nashville, Mississippi State won’t wear its ‘Hail State’ commemorative jerseys during Saturday’s game against Southern Miss like the Bulldogs originally planned.

NCAA rules state that only school names or nicknames can be worn on uniforms, a factor that came into play during opening night when Vanderbilt took the field in all-black threads with ‘Anchor Down’ on its nameplates.
