One SEC team is officially in the College World Series.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs beat the Vanderbilt Commodores 10-6 in 10 innings in Sunday night’s rubber match. This will be MSU’s 10th appearance in the College World Series after being the runner up in 2013.

MSU’s 2018 season will be one remembered for an incredible turnaround. Entering April, the Bulldogs were 14-15 overall and 2-7 in SEC play.

The Bulldogs went to Tallahassee as the No. 2 seed in regional play and ended up advancing to play Vanderbilt, who won its regional as the No. 2 seed, too.

Mississippi State beat Vanderbilt 10-8 in the first game Friday night with a walk-off home run, but the Commodores also won Saturday’s game 4-3 in a walk-off.

Looking around the SEC, Florida and Auburn are tied at one game each, as is Arkansas and South Carolina. Both of those games will be played Monday, sending two more SEC teams to Omaha.
