Emerson played in 36 games during his time at Mississippi State, collecting 154 tackles, 16 pass deflections, 1 interception and 1 forced fumble. His lone pick came as a true freshman in 2019, and he had 50 tackles and 3 pass deflections in 12 games during the 2021 season.
The Bulldogs will be losing a key defender in their secondary and will now have to look to replace his production.
Emerson has the potential to have a successful NFL career, and it’s likely that he’ll be picked by a team at some point during the 2022 NFL Draft, which is scheduled for April 28-30.
