Mississippi State climbs back into AP Top 25

Mississippi State climbed back into the Top 25 of the AP poll.

The Bulldogs (6-2) were ranked 25th in this week’s AP Top 25, following Saturday night’s 42-16 victory over Kentucky. They were one of five SEC teams to make the top 25.

Mississippi State narrowly missed joining five other SEC teams in the Coaches Poll. The Bulldogs’ 70 points were 25 less than 25th-ranked UCLA.

Dak Prescott passed for 348 yards and three touchdowns, while rushing for 117 yards and three more scores in Saturday’s victory. The Bulldogs had 586 yards of total offense and forced three turnovers on defense.

Mississippi State is off this week. The Bulldogs travel to Missouri on Nov. 5.
