Mississippi State just made a huge addition to its 2026 recruiting class.

Jeff Lebby and the Bulldogs received a commitment from 4-star offensive tackle Emanuel Tucker this week. Tucker is the first blue-chip prospect to join Mississippi State’s 2026 recruiting class so far this cycle.

Here’s his announcement:

Tucker is a New Albany, Mississippi, native. He told 247Sports’ Tom Loy that staying home was a big motivator in this process.

“I’m staying home,” Thomas told Loy. “Hail State. The family bond there is just unmatched anywhere else. It’s outstanding.”

Tucker is an excellent addition for Mississippi State in this cycle. He’s the No. 320 overall player and the No. 28 offensive tackle in the country for the 2026 class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 12 player from the state of Mississippi.

Tucker chose Mississippi State over offers from programs like Miami, Florida, Auburn and Tennessee, amongst others. He received his initial offer from Mississippi State way back in May of 2024.

He’s the 7th player to join Mississippi State’s class so far, although it’s still relatively early for 2026. The Bulldogs’ class currently ranks No. 13 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
