Jiles (5-foot-10, 190 pounds) appeared in 28 games for the Bulldogs throughout his career in Starkville, compiling 71 total tackles and one interception — which was returned for a 74-yard touchdown against Ole Miss in the 2016 Egg Bowl. He also deflected six passes with MSU.

The Clinton, Miss. native was rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com, Scout.com, ESPN.com and 247Sports from the 2012 recruiting class.

OurLads.com projected Jiles to start alongside sophomore Jamal Peters in 2017.

Earlier this month, Mississippi State made a change at defensive coordinator, letting go of Peter Sirmon and announcing the hire of former Louisville DC Todd Grantham to fill the position.
