Mississippi State will play host to Air Force next weekend to open its baseball season. To honor the visitors, the Diamond Dawgs will have military flyovers before all 3 games.

The whole weekend will be dedicated to honoring service members in a special military appreciation atmosphere at The Dude, the Diamond Dawgs announced. Start times are pending weather forecasts.

Friday’s flyover will be performed by Moody Air Force Base, while Saturday and Sunday will be performed by Columbus Air Force Base. Each game will also have military members standing with MSU and Air Force players and coaches during the national anthem along with military members announcing starting lineups.

Friday will feature an Opening Weekend/military appreciation rally towel giveaway.

Saturday will have a pregame jump performance from the Wings of Blue Jump Team from the U.S. Air Force Academy. Along with seeing the Wings of Blue Jump Team, replica military hats will be given away. On Sunday, fans will have the chance to get a military coin.

The Bulldogs were picked by SEC coaches in a preseason poll to finish last in the SEC West.
