The 2020 season for Mississippi State will conclude in the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas.

The SEC just announced the Bulldogs will take on the AAC’s Tulsa Golden Hurricane at Amon G. Carter Stadium on Dec. 31.

Bulldogs head coach Mike Leach, of course, is very familiar with the state of Texas, having led the Texas Tech program from 2000-2009.

Mississippi State found itself on a 3-game losing skid before beating Missouri, 51-32, on Saturday to up its record to 3-7.  The Bulldogs find themselves in a bowl for the 11th straight season, with their last postseason win coming in the 2017 season against Louisville in the TaxSlayer Bowl.

Meanwhile, Tulsa is 6-2 and coming off a loss to Cincinnati in the AAC Championship Game. It is the first bowl appearance for the Golden Hurricane since a victory in the Miami Beach Bowl in the 2016 season.

The Armed Forces Bowl is scheduled for 11 am CT on Dec. 31, with ESPN set to televise the game.
