Missouri QB Brady Cook a gametime decision against Alabama

Missouri quarterback Brady Cook is considered a gametime decision against No. 15 Alabama for Saturday’s matchup.
Cook suffered an ankle injury in the first half of the game against Auburn that required him to leave the game and briefly go to the hospital but showed more than a respectable amount of grit when he returned to play the second half and led Mizzou to a 21-17 victory. It made all the difference as the team was able to come back from a 2-score deficit in a successful rally.
He finished the game 11-for-22 passing with 194 yards through the air. But his status has been up in the air since.
He may not be able to power through this time though, with ESPN’s Pete Thamel reporting that Cook was considered doubtful as of Wednesday and had been “extremely limited” during the week’s practices.
But the team’s final availability report prior to kickoff listed Cook as a gametime call.

“Missouri quarterback Brady Cook is considered doubtful for the game at Alabama this week with an ankle injury. He’s been ‘extremely limited’ in practice so far this week. He still may try and ramp up later in the week to attempt to play, but the outlook is pessimistic,” Thamel had reported.
Missouri and Alabama are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in Tuscaloosa. Whether or not Cook can take the field will have a significant impact on Mizzou’s success, which has been up and down as of late.
