Mizzou coach Barry Odom shares his thoughts on early signing period

The NCAA will take a look at adding a pair of early signing periods, on in June and one in December.
The plan has already drawn scorn from Alabama coach Nick Saban, among others.
On Monday, first-year Mizzou coach Barry Odom weighed in on the proposal, which he is not in favor of:

Odom says it’s important to let players enjoy their high school careers instead of worrying about the college recruiting process.
He also added that universities will have to do even more homework on high schoolers even earlier to ensure there are no surprises when a player arrives on campus.
With more and more coaches coming out against the plan, it’ll be interesting to see whether or not the NCAA goes through with it.
