On Wednesday at SEC Media Days, Missouri head coach Barry Odom announced that Kaleb Prewett is no longer with the program.
The senior safety, who had transferred from Kansas State in 2016, was suspended in January for a violation of team policy.
Prewett recorded 49 tackles in eight games during his one year at Kansas State and sat out the 2016 season due to his transfer. In 13 games as a Tiger, he recorded 59 tackles and one interception.
The dismissal does not come as a surprise, as he had missed all of spring practice.
Mizzou LB Terez Hall commented on the situation saying that, “life goes on, and we need guys to step up” to fill the gap Prewett will leave in the secondary.
